First Baptist Church of Ft. Gibson

Youth

In First Student Ministries Sunday School, students are challenged to explore all kinds of life issues in light of Scripture, and to begin to think for themselves about God and faith, after first diving in to God’s Word.

Our youth minister, Chris Wilfong, works directly with a group of dedicated volunteers who teach Sunday School each week. Teachers lead bible studies, using the Lifeway curriculum, on a variety of challenging and relavent topics, designed to address the real life and faith needs of our youth in the difficult world that they are living in today. These teachers provide youth the opportunity to relate to adults and their age group of peers, within the larger context of the church.

After all youth grades 6-12 meet together for the opening, Sunday School for youth is divided into 4 groups: Middle School Girls, Middle School Boys, High School Girls, and High School Boys.

These smaller groups allow students to discuss things more privately, sharing prayer concerns, praises, and giving one another encouragement. Sunday School is where our students really get plugged in, and stay connected.
