First Baptist Church of Ft. Gibson

Youth

I hope as you browse the First Student Ministries webpages, or visit our church on a Sunday or Wednesday, that you will feel welcome, and will sense our desire to minister to real teens, dealing with real life, in a way that makes Jesus become real in their hearts and lives.

Once you have checked us out, we hope you will consider becoming a more active part of the First Baptist Family. There is always a place for you here in First Student Ministries.

First Baptist Church Fort Gibson is a Southern Baptist based, bible believing church, that desires to live out the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a way that would draw others to Christ, and to bring praises to His Name.

During corporate worship, we are led by our Minister of Worship, Shawn Evans, where our students actively experience true and balanced worship, expressing praises to God thru hymns and choruses, as well as enjoying opportunities to participate in orchestra and choir.

Pastor Danny Gandara delivers a dynamic message each week from God’s Word that is easy to understand, challenging, and relevant to the lives of students, as well as adults. God uses these sermons to expose sin and bring healing.

We are thankful that God is at work here at FBC Fort Gibson. As a result, it is difficult to leave one of Brother Danny’s sermons unchanged by the work of the Holy Spirit.

First Student Ministries is very relational. We want each and every student to understand the love of God and enter into a personal relationship with God the Father, by means of accepting His Son Jesus as Lord and Savior.

After experiencing an amazing transformation, and becoming a new creation, students are encouraged to grow in their relationship with Jesus, and begin the process of living as an obvious follower of Christ.

We advise our students to run after Christ with all they have, and to surround themselves with other people who are running hard after the Lord too. We believe in sharing one another’s burdens, as well as laughing and playing together.

Our students are challenged in First Student Ministries to continually grow closer to Christ, thru worship, bible study, prayer, scripture memory, and service.

But don’t forget the step often missed. We believe that making these truths relevant to our lives, and learning to apply what we’ve learned in those areas, is the key to living a life, honoring and pleasing to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Our students are encouraged to use whatever gifts and talents the Lord has given them to “Make God Famous”. We encourage our students to be involved in their school and community, doing everything for the glory of God!

Whether your passion is music, school spirit, academics, or sports, whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it as if for the Lord!
