Children’s Ministry

Children truly are blessed gifts from God and at First Baptist we want to build a strong Bible foundation into their lives. Everything we do with our children’s ministry is focused on getting fundamental Bible truths embedded in their hearts. We offer several opportunities for children to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In Children’s Church we provided a fun Bible-based learning environment where all the children ages 3 years old through 2nd grade are able to participate and learn about God’s Word and how it applies to our daily lives. We have a variety of activities including small group times, crafts, playing games, singing songs and enjoying time with friends but most importantly learning more about God from the Bible. We want your children to look forward to coming to their classes each time you come to our services. It would be a pleasure to have your child come and join us in learning about the great God that created us.

Bible Drill is fast-paced and designed to help your child learn the Bible. There are prizes for answering questions and memorizing Bible verses as well as the opportunity to sing songs and make new friends. Bible Drill meets every week after the Sunday evening worship service.

Vacation Bible School is an annual, week long, summer event filled with lots of fun activities that will also teach your children about God and His work being around the world. Look at our “Upcoming Events” banner for more information about VBS as summer nears.

AWANA is a bible based children’s program where your children will learn scripture verses, play group games, sing and enjoy hearing from God’s Word. AWANA is for children ages 1 year through 5th grade and meets Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

TeamKID is a program for AWANA age kids that runs during the summer months. TeamKID is a fun, high-energy ministry that encourages kids to know Jesus Christ and grow in a relationship with Him. All parts of TeamKID-Bible stories, Scripture memory, life application, missions, and recreation-connect to teach life lessons to kids.
